This is the Website of Cymdeithas Y Dalar, the Llandeilo Allotment Community Project.

"Cymdeithas Y Dalar" is affectionately known by its members as simply "CYD" and that is how it is usually identified on this site.

By clicking on the tabs on the left, you will be able to learn more about CYD - its history, its activities, its rules and objectives and the advantages of cultivating an allotment plot.

CYD members spend much of their time on their allotment plots, but from time to time they meet socially and once a year they hold an Annual General Meeting.

Cymdeithas Y Dalar currently has 61 allotments on a site at Home Farm on the National Trust's Dinefwr Estate in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire. The site is leased by CYD from the National Trust.

CYD is run by a Committee, which is elected at the Annual General Meeting in October. It caters for all types of allotment holder - from the mildly interested amateur with his first allotment to the keen, experienced plot holder.  It provides a friendly atmosphere for the exchange of views and the provision of advice on a wide range of allotment related issues.

Although CYD has been in existence since 2007, it has only recently ventured into the world of the website. This site is still being developed (and hopefully will improve as time goes on), so any constructive comments or criticism will be welcome. (see Contacts)
